Some of the other gift range in wood is from Sunlover Fair Trade importers and members of BAFTS, who work in direct partnership with craftsmen and women throughout Indonesia, adhering to Fair Trade principles in all aspects of their business.
The shop has been carefully designed to make best use of the combined space of a garage and games room/bar. There are 36 square metres of floor space, with solid oak floor, good insulation and electric heating. The bespoke wood framed door and windows were made in Orkney and provide a light interior with views towards the sea and Stronsay ferry pier.
The fittings are mostly ‘recycled’ furniture, the old bar is now the counter, and we have a 1925 Singer treadle sewing machine rescued from a byre.
More information about Stronsay can be found here using Wikipedia, the free encylopedia.
